BIGGER DOESN’T NECESSARILY MEAN BETTER
To illustrate that bigger doesn’t necessarily mean better, for this post I’m sharing the isolated floor plans of both the initial and current design for the great room, kitchen and dining room for comparison purposes. In reviewing the floor plans side by side, here’s a list of the differences between them.
After taking the on site measurements and drawing the as-built plans, I remember sitting at my drafting board, exploring potential solutions. I did one overlay floor plan sketch after another, until I had exhausted all the viable possibilities for both the kitchen and bathroom. As I considered which floor plans the clients would like best, I was filled with indecision. Would if I chose the wrong options to develop and present to the clients? Then what? Would I need to pivot and turn into an as-seen on TV commercial and say, “But wait, there’s more”, I’ll come back in a few days to show you the rest.
